Rosario Argentina

Resting along the Paraná River, Rosario is the largest city in the Santa Fe province of Argentina. The city carefully preserves centuries of art, architecture and history, and invites travellers to explore its scenic waterfront vistas, green spaces and pulsating nightlife. Beyond its cultural and commercial highlights, the city is also famous for being the birthplace of Che Guevara and Lionel Messi.

Any typical itinerary of Rosario will include the National Flag Memorial, a massive complex where the Argentine flag was first hoisted. You can admire this imposing structure and also climb up to the main tower to take in the sweeping views of the city. Situated a stone’s throw away from the memorial is Parque Urquiza, a sprawling urban park that is worth strolling around while snacking on some churros from a local vendor. Independence Park is another open space where you can enjoy a paddle-boat ride, walk around the Rose Garden, sculptures and fountains, as well as visit museums, such as Dr. Julio Marc Provincial Historical Museum and Juan B. Castagnino Fine Arts Museum.

Rosario impresses with its wide array of travel experiences. You can navigate through the tree-lined streets and lively neighbourhoods of the city by renting a bike or set out on a walk along the riverside promenade, La Costanera. Another interesting place to visit is Teatro El CĂrculo, a prominent theatre where you can enjoy a show or join a tour to see its interiors and backstage area.
