The town’s biggest attraction is the central Portorož Beach – a wide, sandy stretch that meets the deep blue waters of the Adriatic. There are plenty of relaxing things to do and see in Portorož. Its famous spas and wellness centers offer therapeutic treatments based on the mud and brine from the nearby Sečovlje Salina salt pans. There’s also Forma Viva, an interesting collection of 120 stone sculptures just a short drive away on the Seča peninsula. Located in a special park, the sculptures overlook the sea and are surrounded by pine and olive trees, offering a tranquil space for visitors.
